Funded by the British Council and its General Consul Ceremony Attendance Burj Al-luqluq Graduates the Participants of the Program ‘Juzur Shabab 2’
Burj Al-Luqluq Social Center and the General British Council celebrated the graduation ceremony for the participants of Juzur Al-Shabab program 2 for both groups from Bab Hutta, Old City and the Armenian neighbourhood in the educational Beacon in Burj Al-Luqluq Social Center. The British Consul Dr Alester Makvil, Jerusalem affairs minister Adnan Al-Husseini, Burj Al-Luqluq Head Manager Nasser Ghaith, The executive manager Muntaser Idkaidek, Armenian’s group supervisor Kianeh, Old City group supervisor, the project coordinator Mohammad Dweik, life skills trainer Dr Abdul Raheem Mahmmoud, Employees from the British Council and Burj Al-luqluq and the audience were the attendance of this ceremony.
The ceremony started in cutting the ribbon of announcing and opening photography exhibition of the participants in which they presented their own captured photos in Old City neighbourhoods expressing the importance of recognizing and identifying the Armenian Neighbourhood. Furthermore, Old City group with the cooperation of Suna’ Al-Hayah presented a show of the Jerusalemite transportation initiative in which they designed a smart application for helping citizens to use and to exploit the general transportation in an easy and modern methods.
After presenting initiatives, the General British Consul Makvil welcomed the crowd and thanked Burj Al-Luqluq Social Center for the well organized implementation of the project and for its role in assisting Jerusalemite youth and children. Moreover, he adds two things, the first is that the relationship between the General British Council and Burj Al-Luqluq Social Center is considered as a cooperative relationship for assisting Jerusalem and Jerusalemite youth and children. The second is his confirmation on the continuous sponsorship for Burj Al-Luqluq Social Center activities and programs for reinforcing it’s existence and development.
Adnan Al-Husseini expressed his pleasure on Burj Al-Luqluq entrepreneurship role in supporting the Jerusalemite youth; confirming that Burj Al-Luqluq programs contribute to develop their capabilities and secure them from potential dropouts.
And then, participants were honoured by certificates and pictures were taken for the celebration.
Armenian food and cookies were presented within recognizing and identifying Armenians initiative.
Finally, It’s worth mentioning that the training sessions within Youth Juthur emphasized on communication, photography and using social media subjects in the aim of building youth groups for helping their communities and neighbourhoods in and outside of the old city.
