Debate Club
The idea of establishing the Debating Club and Intellectual Dialogue emerged after the participation of a number of students representing the Center in the National Debating Championship, which is held annually in Palestine, with eight governorates competing for the championship. Burj Al-Luqluq team ranked first for the first time in the city of Jerusalem.
The Club, which targets Jerusalemite youth with ages ranging from 18 to 28 years, seeks to empower Jerusalemite youth by promoting a culture of dialogue, contributing to public policy, shaping global discourses, as well as creating a common understanding with the rising generation in Palestine on how to address issues of common concern to their communities. The project’s mission will be to prepare students capable of debate and constructive intellectual dialogue.
The project is funded by the Turkish Vakit Group.
