Jerusalem Directorate of Education & BALL holds a Course in Sports Injury Prevention & Disaster Management
Burj Al-Luluq Social Center Society in cooperation with the Jerusalem Directorate of Education continued to work on developing school sports in general, where a course was held in sports injury prevention and disaster management, with the participation of 26 male and female teachers.
This cooperation comes in the context of the school sport development project in Jerusalem, funded by the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development, and under the supervision of Welfare Association, in order to raise the level of Jerusalemite teachers on crisis management and dealing with sports injuries through learning first aid and emergency skills, and disaster management.
The meeting on the first day was focused on the topic of first aid, which was presented by the trainer Ahmed Shehadeh, to stimulate the teachers ’experiences, and to add everything new to them to develop these experiences in first aid.
As for training on the second day, it came about muscle rupture, tension, anterior cruciate ligament, posterior cruciate ligament, neck pain and injuries, ankle problems, joint dislocation, and head injuries, which were presented by the international coach Dr. Adel Nassar, in addition to sports injuries, summarizes by adding new knowledge in the field of sports injuries in how to diagnose injury and how to treat it inside school sports fields.
