In Burj Al Luqluq Ceramic Training Center and Laboratory

 

“Graduation projects” and “an art exhibition” for the students of Burj Al Luqluq Ceramic Training Center and Laboratory

 “We Are Change” project, implemented by Burj Alluqluq Social Center Society in cooperation with The International Committee for the Development of Peoples (CISP), And  fund ed by the European Union, is preparing to graduate the first batch of students of the “Burj Al Luqluq Ceramic Training Center and Laboratory” from the previous academic year 2019.

 Where the students began working on preparing for the graduation project, which includes the practical application of an artistic group of artifacts and drawings as a product of the educational curriculum that was passed to the students during the past year, which includes the most important principles of the ceramics industry, including skills and methods that enable graduates to start using these tools in their practical life.

Parallel to the preparation of graduation projects,Burj Al Luqluq Ceramic Training Center and Laboratory have been receiving a large number of new enrollment applications for the new academic year 2020/2021, as more than 20 female students who have been received at the center have submitted an introductory tour to burj’s most important facilities and the services it provides to the Jerusalemites.

In addition to getting acquainted with the ceramics operator and training center and its technical and administrative staff.

After the orientation tour, individual interviews and a technical ability exam were conducted to determine the students who would be accepted based on some  technical and practical criteria that were set by the admission committee.

 

Signing cooperation and commitment agreements with new students

In a separate context,Burj Alluqluq Social Center Society, through “We Are The Change” project, signed cooperation and commitment agreements with the newly enrolled students in Burj Al Luqluq Ceramic Training Center and Laboratory, which were accepted after passing the technical and theoretical exam and evaluating them within a set of technical and professional standards.

These agreements, which include a full grant for vocational training for a period of 8 months in a ceramics workshop, in addition to a small financial grant for students after they pass (3 months) of the training period to cover transportation and daily expenses.

 

Burj Al-Luqluq Kindergarten opens its doors in the new academic year, taking into account the preventive and sanitary conditions and procedures in the kindergarten facilities and its surroundings

Burj Alluqluq Social Center Society Kindergarten will return to its doors early next month, as usual, as the kindergarten staff has begun preparing to receive the children of Jerusalem in two grades of kindergartens and more than 30 children and girls.

 

This new school year comes within sensitive and difficult circumstances due to the Corona pandemic, which continues to have its effects and negatives on the city of Jerusalem as the rest of the nation’s cities, but within the preventive measures and commitment to the model recommendations issued by the Ministry of Health, especially the Ministry of Education, it is intended to open doors Kindergarten to receive students Start from the 6th of September.
