Burj Al-Luqluq Organizes a Theater Show «Zaatara Coffee»
In cooperation with the actor Hussam Abu Eisheh, Burj Al-luluq Social Center Society organized a play theater entitled «Coffee Zaatara» for the women in the Old City of Jerusalem, where more than 40 people attended the play.
The Palestinian playwright Hossam Abu Eisha chose a part of his family life to tell the audience of his new play «Coffee Zaatara» part of the history of the Jerusalem city between 1938 and 1979. The
play is written by Abu Eisha and drama construction and directed by Kamel Al Basha.
Before the show began, he said: «I can say that after 41 years working in the theater, I dared to
present a monodrama, within 21 characters.»
Abu Aisha added that gathering 21 personalities in one work requires a tremendous effort and this was a challenge for me.
The play tells the details of the Nakba in 1948 and the occupation of Jerusalem in 1967 and the stories of coexistence between Muslims and Christians in the face of their common destiny because of the occupation.
