Al-Quds University has started a series of theoretical and practical lectures in preparation for the start of the new semester, as the university ends all remaining practical lectures from the first semester due to the delay in completing some theoretical lectures during the Corona pandemic.
The program works on graduating specialized students with a bachelor’s degree in physical education, and the student qualifies in this program to be a physical education teacher, trainer, referee, supervisor or administrator in fitness clubs, or a coach of scout groups in Jerusalemite schools.
This cooperation with Burj Alluqluq Social Center Society aims to enhance the steadfastness and presence of the university in the city, especially in the old city thereof, as the center is distinguished by its presence in the center of Jerusalem, which helps graduate students in the fourth year to conduct field training in schools near the old city and around the city walls. Consequently, practical training takes place in Jerusalem schools inside the Old City, and the importance of supporting each other by institutions in light of the general political and economic conditions in the city, especially that the center is qualified for sports and contains football, basket, and table tennis fields, and the center’s facilities can be used for the development and education of students.
The joint lectures were attended by students from the third and second year, which included a lecture on the long and medium jump, a lecture in football, general principles, and warm-up lectures with coach Ahmed Sharaf within the educational curriculum of the College of Sports. Coming through a full schedule of practical lectures, these lectures come within joint cooperation with Al-Quds University and Burj Alluqluq Social Center Society.
