AITEC Programing Camp Conclusion With Burj Al-luqluq Social Center
Jerusalem \ AITEC technology team in partnership with Burj Al-luqluq Social Center concluded the AITEC winter camp in Programming field, the winter camp is within Burj Al-Watan in Jerusalem project and targeting 62 students (13 – 17 Years ) who have the ability to learn and also to be creative in the field of computer and technology , also the students who are looking for a distinguished career in the future and the ability to contribute rise in society and try to solve problems and challenges .
The students were trained for 10 days during the period between 01/01/2020 to 2/14/2020 at Burj Al-luqluq center.
Noura Shweiki The camp coordinator said that the camp contributed to teach students the basics of programming and the principles of logical thinking, including website programming and Java applications through a group of specialists, within the framework of the AITEC team’s vision to develop the level of technological education in the city of Jerusalem, and in order to raise the efficiency of the student in the Palestinian universities in general by preparing them to gain different technology skills.
Shweiki also added that 62 students, 8 trainers, 10 mentors and volunteers were participated in the winter camp for 10 days in Burj Al-luqluq Social Center in the Old City of Jerusalem.
during the winter camp the students received a set of training and skills in the field of programming through specialists in the field of technology that will open new outlook and new opportunities to work in the future by teaching the needed skills to develop programming and thinking skills.
Montaser Edkedek the executive director of Burj Al-luqluq Social Center said “we are honored to continue to sponsor youth and technology initiatives” .
Mr. Edkedek also said ‘we provide everything possible in terms of training, and material resources to sponsor youth ideas in the association, noting that Burj Al-luqluq provides a different set of training in the field of technology that taking place in the center computer lab on a daily basis , through a group of specialized trainers.
Edkedek added that the camp was implemented within Burj Al-Watan project through Burj Al-luqluq Social Center and funded by The Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development and under the supervision of Taawon Foundation. The camp is an extension of other specialized initiatives in the technology sector such as “Yalla Techno” initiative and The Jerusalem Technology Forum, which was implemented on Over 3 years.
