Al-Quds University, through the Physical Education Department at the university, in cooperation and partnership with Burj Alluqluq Social Center Society, has resumed a series of theoretical and practical lectures, like the university, within the second-semester program, ends all remaining practical lectures due to the delay in completing some theoretical lectures during the Corona pandemic.

Muntaser Idkedek, Executive Director of Burj Alluqluq Social Center Society said about the importance of cooperation with Al-Quds University.

 “The cooperation of Burj Alluqluq Social Center Society with Al-Quds University, specifically the Physical Education Department, is one of the most important collaborations that the Burj seeks as the largest sports space in the Old City, not only for sports considerations and the importance of training The process aims to confirm the theoretical materials that are explained but also for political considerations and the specificity of Al-Quds University on the one hand and Burj Alluqluq Social Center Society on the other hand.

The program works to graduate specialized students with a bachelor’s degree in physical education, and the student qualifies in this program to be a physical education teacher, trainer, referee, supervisor or administrator in fitness clubs, or a coach of scout groups in schools.

Among the educational courses that are offered in Burj Alluqluq Social Center Society playgrounds, “Field Training Course 1” is a preparatory course for fourth-year students to prepare students to implement the practical and field-side in schools. 

The field training course is a compulsory course and a university requirement, and the student who has not completed 90 hours Didactic between theoretical and practical.

Dr. Ahmad Al-Khawaja, the founder of the Department of Physical Education at Al-Quds University and a course instructor, says: “Burj Al-Luqluq is the most important part in preparing students to support sports teams with academic athletes, including physical education teachers or trainers, referees, and supervisors in sports clubs and fitness clubs. Practical courses are the experimental and applied aspect. Of all the theories and approaches that are taught”.

This cooperation with Burj Alluqluq Social Center Society aims to enhance the steadfastness and presence of the university in the city, especially in the old city thereof, as the center is distinguished by its presence in the center of Jerusalem, which helps graduate students in the fourth year to conduct field training in schools near the old city and around the city walls. Consequently, practical training takes place in Jerusalem schools inside the Old City and stresses the importance of institutions supporting each other in light of the general political and economic conditions that the city is experiencing, especially since the center is athletically qualified and contains football, basket, and table fields, and the association’s facilities can be used for the development and education of students.

Student Muhammad Shamasneh, a fourth-year student in the Physical Education Department, says, “We are on the verge of the end of the school years and the start to practical life, despite following up on all the theoretical subjects that remain for us through the application of the zoom due to the circumstances of the Corona pandemic, but the practical courses that we take in Burj Alluqluq Social Center Society are the basis To start working life for us as graduate students shortly. “

As for first-year students, and the university will resume their educational course, which is a requirement for physical preparation with Professor Ahmed Sharaf, these lectures come within the cooperation with Al-Quds University and Burj Alluqluq Social Center Society.
