Burj Al-Luqluq launches Play and Learn project in seven clubs and institutions in Jerusalem

In partnership with UNICEF, Burj Al-Luqluq Social Center Society launched on Thursday 2019/6/20, the memoranda of cooperation with seven clubs in «Play and learn» project in five areas: Old City, Silwan, Al-Issawiya, Jabal Mukaber and Shu›fat Camp. and Seven clubs and institutions in Jerusalem: Dalsal Jerusalem Club, Al Bustan Silwan Center, Ansar Al Quds Club, Jabal Al Ziton Club, Palestinian Academy, Youth Social Center Shuafat Camp and Al-Issawiya Club.

The ceremony was attended by UNICEF Representative Hani Al-Deek, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Burj Al-Luqluq Social Center Society Nasser Ghaith, Executive Manager of the center, Muntaser Edkaidek, Project Coordinator, Ala› Gharab and the heads of the clubs.

The signing ceremony of the agreement with the clubs began with a welcome speech from the Executive Manager of the center, who expressed the importance of the project in five main areas in Jerusalem, will benefit 500 children.

He stressed that the main objective of the project is to build a generation of children, aware of all rights and determined to overcome difficulties, committed and advanced education through what they learn in the project of commitment, in addition to a generation that constitutes an integral part of daily life.

The representative of UNICEF praised the work of the Burj Al-Luqluq in these clubs during the last program and explained that the large UNICEF project is implemented by various Palestinian institutions covering a large number of sectors and aspects that contribute to the preservation of the rights of children in Jerusalem in particular.
