“What is Worth Living For” Group Executes its First Initiative

“What is Worth Living For”  Group executed its first initiatives “From Silwan to…” in Bethlehem within Khuta project implemented by Burj Al-LuqLuq Social Center and the Pal-vision, supervised by the Higher Council for Youth & Sport and funded by the UNFPA.

The trip set out from Jerusalem to Bethlehem in the presence o representative of Sawsan Abu Snieneh from Burj Al-Luqluq, Eyad Al-Tawil, Bashar Abu Shamsieh from Pal-Vision, in addition to Hadeel Zyadeh from the HCYS and Marwa Obeid.. The group hiked from Al-Makhrour to BAttir village during which they learned about the most important geographical areas form the Guid Rawan Zugheiry.

Haitham Odeh, the representative of Dheisheh Youth Center welcomed the youth group and illustrated the importance of such tours that links between Jerusalem and refugee camps. Furthermore, he provided the group with important information about the history of Dheisheh Camp and linked it to the circumstance in Silwan.

The participants visited Ibda’ Center in Dheisheh and there Mohammed Abdul Nabi Lahham welcomed them and who explained the history of the center and its activities.

Then the group visited the parents of the prisoners; Mahmoud and Naser Abu Surur at Ayda camp and toured around the camp.

At the end of the trip, the participants went to the Aidah camp supporting the camp in confronting the occupation and they visited the mothers of the prisoners Mahmoud and Naser Abu- Srour. The activist Monther Ameereh in Aideh Camp received them and a member of the youth center Aideh Mahmoud Abu- Srour. They talked about the martyr child Abd Al- Rahman whos was killed by an Israeli shooter in his heart. The return key distinguished Aideh camp as the biggest key around the world.
