Funded By Qanadeel & Hosted by Burj Al-Luqluq Al-Ummah Boys High School & Al-Nizamiyeh Girls School Win the Volleyball Championships
Burj AL-Luqluq Social Center Society and the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in Jerusalem organized a volleyball tournament for boys and a volleyball tournament for girls. The volleyball tournament took place at Al-Ummah School on the 1st November 2016 with the participation of 4 schools; Al-Ummah, Abu Obeidah, Al-Hassan Al-Thani and Ali Bin Abi Taleb Schools, in addition to the supervisor of activities at the Ministry of Education, the project coordinator, Ahmad Jaber, and a number of physical education teachers. On the other hand, the volleyball tournament for girls took place at Riyad Al-Aqsa High School, with the participation of 3 schools; Riyad Al-Aqsa, Al-Nizamiyeh- Shu’fat and Al-Shabat Al-Muslimat-Wadi Al-Jouz.
The tournament ended with Al-Ummah School as the volleyball champion while Al-Hasan Al-Thani came second. As for the handball, Al-Nizamiyeh school topped the tournament while Riyad Al-Aqsa came second.
At the end of the tournament, Mutaz Suan, the school head masters, in addition to coordinators and teachers, honored the winning teams with cups and medals and thanked the hosting schools, Burj Al-Luqluq and Qanadeel for their efforts in this tournament within the empowerment of Jerusalemite schools sports project.
