Funded By Qanadeel International Institution Burj Al-Luqluq, Directorate of Education in Jerusalem and Al-Quds University Organize Jerusalem’s Marathon for School Students
Burj Al-Luqluq Social Center Society, Directorate of Education in Jerusalem and Al-Quds University have organized Jerusalem’s Marathon for students from Abu Dies and Al-Ezareyah territories and with a participation number of 300 student from different areas.
The marathon took its place at Al-Quds University pitch among 32 school and supervised by the Doctor Mazen Al-Khatib, volunteered students from the university, Burj Al-Luqluq staff, teachers and Vice President of Directorate of Education in Jerusalem ‘ Khaled Hammad’, representative of Qanadeel Institution Nidal Al-Asbah, Burj Al-Luqluq Executive Manager ‘Muntaser Idkaidek’, the Doctor Mo’ayad Shana’a, Rae’da A’rikat, Mutaz Suwan and the project coordinator ‘ Ahmad Jaber’.
At first, Khaled Hammad welcomed the participants and thanked Burj Al-Luqluq for its activities and for its role towards students and communities. He also confirmed that the relationship among Burj Al-Luqluq, Al-Quds University and Directorate of Education in Jerusalem is cooperative and consistent in order to develop sports trends in schools.
And then, the Doctor Shana’a welcomed the crowd and confirmed that the university will open its facilities and programs to involve students in sport activities and to support them in multiple aspects such as psychological discharge and entertaining events.
Female Participants started their road from Al-Sawahreh Mosque while men participants started from containers cross point and after one hour of running, participants went back to the starting point ‘Al-Quds university’ and most of the winners were honoured at the end.

1st place: Nour Al-Atrash – Omar Ibn Al-Khattab School
for Boys.
2st place: Saleem Qrei’ – Al-Aytam Industrial School.
3st place: Osama Mohammad Abdul Latif – Al-Ommah
School for Boys.
Females
1st place: Hala Jawad Dabash – Othman Bin Affan School
for Girls.
2st place: Asma Yousef Hajouj – Riyad Al-Aqsa School.
3st place: Shayma Ammar Abu Nam – Al-Shabbat Al-
Muslimat School for Girls.
