4 Winning Initiatives in the Competition on Best Initiative on Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals
In conjunction with the conclusion of the second Jerusalem Youth Forum 2020, a competition for the best initiative on achieving the goals of sustainable development was launched, where the winning initiatives will receive an opportunity for financial support to help them continue implementing the initiative, in the amount of 2,500-3,000 euros, and 4 initiatives were chosen to support them through the network of NGOs PNGO. With the support of the European Union.
These institutions seek to present ideas to produce and create initiatives that shed light on civil society active in achieving sustainable development goals and in the context of contributing to sustainable development, in addition to disseminating their ideas at the youth level.
Winning initiatives after evaluating all advanced initiatives:
1- The Rainbow Initiative – Ramallah
With the representative of the initiative, Hadeel Maali, this initiative aims to qualify parents to deal with the e-learning system after the Corona pandemic, and to support children with basic academic materials.
2- Technology Summit Initiative – Jerusalem
With the representative of the initiative, Abdul Karim Al-Alami.
This initiative aimed to enhance the use of technology and its tools in education and work by establishing online educational seminars to enhance technical skills, especially in e-learning.
3- Jrabati Initiative – Bethlehem
With the representative of the initiative, Ahmed Direh, which aims to support the fund of needy students in Palestinian universities by manufacturing homemade colored socks in Palestine, including writing phrases and words with social, political or cultural significance on them.
4- The Greener Initiative – Gaza
With the representative of the initiative, Ibrahim Naeem from the Gaza Strip. This initiative aims to shed light on small and pioneering projects in the field of green technology, as well as expanding the circle of awareness of the Gaza and Palestinian community, about green projects in the Gaza Strip and their importance to human health and the environment.
