«For the writer, Abd al-Qadir Sattal» Al-Quds University and Burj Al-Laqlaq organize a symposium to discuss the book of Jaffa letters in the shadow of the Nakba
The library of the University of Jerusalem «Aqba Rasas» in partnership with the Association of Burj Al-Laqlaq Community and in cooperation with the group Pulse Youth «Nadwah» Hosted the presence of the writer Abdul Qader Sattal to discuss his book «Jaffa messages in the shadow of the Nakba» and in the presence of a young people form Jerusalem.
The seminar was held at 5:00 pm at the university library. It was welcomed by the coordinator of the Program for Activating Cultural and Youth Activities Nasser Abu Ermila, who in turn welcomed the writer Abdul Qader Sattal. He stressed that the seminar was organized to raise awareness of the Jerusalemite youth about the daily life of Jaffa and especially after The Palestinian Nakba.
The writer described the book as the first experiment to describe the reality of the Palestinian society after 48 years in the city of Jaffa, the fruit of a local experience and activity that lasted for more than three decades. The symposium discussed the reality of Jaffa today of its Palestinian identity.
Abdelkader is one of the first people who worked on Arab awareness in Jaffa and published many articles in local newspapers and websites in Jaffa.
