The Burj Al-Laqlaq Community Society carries out a community activity on the occasion of Mothers Day
On Tuesday, 19/3/2019, the Burj al-Laqlaq Society held a social activity in the Old City of Jerusalem on the occasion of Mother›s Day in partnership with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and the Italian Human Land Foundation in cooperation with Birzeit University. 180 Christian women and 7 disabled people participated in the activity.
The activities of the Open Day, Where the open day was welcomed by the CEO of Burj Aluqluq, Montaser Adkidk, and stressed the importance of the role of women in society and family.
A number of events were held during the day, including a lecture to the women who participated with the lecturer Osama Faraj on «Mother Power», and then a presentation of a popular Dabkeh show for the Jerusalem Rival band. We completed our activity with a play with the artist Hossam Abu Eisha, and then the network of peer education YPEER presented a play about the mental health and mental health.
The activity concluded by honoring the Society for a group of women in the Old City in recognition of their role and their contribution to the service of Jerusalem, the Old City and the Burj Al-Laqlaq Society in particular. Flowers and Knafeh Nabulseyeh were distributed to participating women.
The participants in the activity expressed their happiness with this activity and the great participation of the mothers who participate in this beautiful activity, and expressed the pressure exerted on them by the holy mother every day and how this activity contributed to give them positive energy.
